Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic teams run out of either our Clyman or Dells based offices. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation to new construction, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts for commercial and industrial projects. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper installation and safety procedures are followed according to NEC standards. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems for industrial applications. Conduct renovations on existing electrical infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Collaborate with construction teams on site to frame carpentry or perform handyman tasks related to electrical work. Follow all safety protocols while working on construction sites or in occupied facilities, maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Skills Extensive experience with industrial electrician tasks, including working with complex control systems like PLCs. Proven commercial electrician experience with a strong understanding of NEC regulations and low/high voltage wiring practices. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams essential for accurate installation and troubleshooting. Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools necessary for electrical work. Ability to operate testing devices including ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment effectively. Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and project requirements. Knowledge of renovation processes involving electrical systems within existing structures. Familiarity with frame carpentry or general handyman skills that support electrical installations or repairs.
