We specialize in rebuilding alternators, starters, generators, DC motors, and installing and servicing Intoxalock and LifeSafer breathalyzer devices, including monthly recalibrations and occasional mobile installations. In 2020, we expanded our operations by acquiring General Armature. Our motto is "Do it once, do it right." We take personal pride in accuracy, craftsmanship, and running our business the right way. We are a growing company looking for a reliable, skilled rebuilder who can work independently and take ownership of their work. Position Summary We are seeking a full-time Rebuilder to diagnose, rebuild, and test automotive and industrial electrical components. This position is primarily focused on rebuilding starters, with additional work on alternators, DC motors, and heavy-duty units. This role is mostly independent and best suited for someone experienced, self-motivated, and comfortable managing their own workflow. Saturday overtime is occasionally available. Key Responsibilities Rebuild starters , alternators, DC motors, and heavy-duty units Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in units Test units before and after rebuild to ensure proper operation Occasionally answer phones and assist walk-in customers as needed Communicate clearly about job status, parts needs, and issues Perform occasional local deliveries (optional, with compensation) Assist with removal/installation of units when needed (preferred but not required) Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience rebuilding starters, alternators, or similar components Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable and consistent work ethic Ability to lift up to 80 lbs (for largest 50MT units) Preferred Qualifications Ability to install/deinstall starters, alternators, or related components Basic customer service skills for occasional interaction Valid driver's license (for optional deliveries) Benefits Workers' Compensation coverage 9.5 paid holidays , aligned with most Rhode Island state holidays

Vacation Time :

1 week after 1 year of employment, then 2 weeks after 2 years of employment
