An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
Approximately 6 Months Position Summary LaborWorx is seeking experienced Construction Electricians for a commercial/industrial project expected to last approximately six (6) months. We are looking for dependable, safety-conscious electricians with experience in new construction who can install electrical systems efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship and adhering to project schedules. A Journeyman Electrician license is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong commercial or industrial construction experience and the ability to demonstrate solid electrical knowledge are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Install electrical systems for commercial and industrial construction projects. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications. Measure, bend, and install EMT, Rigid, IMC, and PVC conduit. Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring and cable. Install electrical panels, switchgear, transformers, disconnects, lighting, receptacles, and other electrical equipment. Install cable tray, supports, and underground raceways as required. Perform equipment terminations and assist with electrical system start-up. Follow all National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and project specifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to ensure projects stay on schedule. Qualifications 3+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical construction experience. Journeyman Electrician license preferred but not required. Experience installing conduit, pulling wire, and terminating electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Reliable transportation to and from the job site. Requirements Must provide your own basic electrical hand tools. Must provide your own required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, gloves, and high-visibility vest as required by the job site. Must successfully complete a written electrical aptitude/knowledge assessment prior to placement. Must be able to pass any required pre-employment screenings. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and elevated work platforms. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
