Description Job Summary:
Serves as the organization's senior electrical expert responsible for maintenance tasks requiring complex troubleshooting and electrical problem solving; ensuring contracted activities are performed to strict standards, and leading complex projects. Provides technical direction and expertise to the department and other team members.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Lead diagnostics and repairs on emergency power systems, automatic transfer switches, switch gear, paralleling gear, motor control centers and other complex electrical systems. Liaise with contractors, inspectors, vendors and clinical leadership as necessary. Serve as a technical resource for others within the department Perform complex troubleshooting of equipment and systems Troubleshoots and maintains PLCs, ATSs, VFDs, Isolated Power Systems, and other complex electrical and electronic systems Responds to escalated electrical emergencies as needed. Develops training materials and standard operating procedures for electrical systems. Oversees contractors performing work on complex electrical systems Ensures system are properly tested, maintained, and documented in compliance with DNV standards Ensures all activities are done in compliance with codes and regulatory standards All other electrical duties as assigned.
Education:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
Graduate of Industrial Electrical Program from trade school
Experience:
Required:
5 years of experience in healthcare, industrial or heavy commercial environment
Preferred:
Experience with medium voltage systems Position Requirement(s):
License/Certification/Registration Required:
Valid Driver's License Preferred:
Licensure by a State Board or local municipality
