Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including industrial and commercial environments. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and safety procedures to ensure reliable and compliant electrical operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, troubleshooting, and high-voltage wiring, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our projects. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial facilities, ensuring compliance with all local electrical codes and NFPA 70 standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring and system layouts. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to identify faults or issues within complex electrical systems. Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring installations safely on construction sites or renovation projects while adhering to safety procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including schematic modifications, wiring diagrams, and compliance reports. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and ensure seamless project execution. Follow all electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents or hazards during installation or maintenance activities. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment efficiently to complete electrical work accurately. Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics for both low voltage and high voltage systems. Support ongoing training on new technologies such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems. Skills Extensive experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams. Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements. Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters. Experience working with industrial electrical systems including high-voltage wiring. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation applications. Ability to interpret technical schematics related to electrical blueprint reading. Strong understanding of local electrical codes and safety procedures applicable across various environments. Hands-on experience with electrical wiring installation on construction sites or renovation projects. Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment efficiently. Knowledge of low voltage systems alongside high voltage applications. Ability to perform maintenance on commercial electrical systems with precision. Construction site experience combined with handyman skills such as frame carpentry is advantageous.
