  • Full-time We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our Industrial and Commercial team.
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings, marinas, data centers, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew. A Journeyman Electrician is a highly skilled and experienced professional in the electrical trade who has completed a rigorous training program. They have successfully completed an apprenticeship program, which typically involves a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training under the guidance of a qualified mentor. They possess a deep understanding of electrical theory, codes, regulations, and safety practices. Journeyman Electrician's are proficient in installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment in various settings, including commercial, and industrial environments. They often work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with other tradespeople, contractors, and clients to complete projects efficiently and effectively. They are known for their attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while adhering to project timelines and budget constraints. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in commercial and industrial environments Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems and controls Install conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC), wiring, panels, switchgear, and motor controls Work with 120V-480V systems, including 3-phase power Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) Perform preventative maintenance Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
Testing and Inspection:
Conducting testing, inspections, and quality assurance checks on electrical systems and components to verify functionality, integrity, and adherence to specifications.
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records, documentation, time-keeping, and logs of electrical work performed, including installation, maintenance, repairs, time, and inspections. Collaborating with other tradespeople, contractors, engineers, and project managers to coordinate work activities, resolve issues, and ensure project success. Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to apprentice electricians and less experienced team members to support their professional development and skill enhancement. Providing excellent customer service and communication to clients, stakeholders, and end-users regarding electrical projects, timelines, and expectations. Staying updated on latest developments, technologies, & best practices in the electrical field through continuing education, training programs, & professional development opportunities. Being able to adapt to different work environments, such as commercial, or industrial settings, and adjust work practices accordingly. Being able to modify work plans and schedules in response to shifting project priorities, deadlines, or resource availability. Being able to adapt work methods and techniques based on the specific requirements of each project and any changes that may occur during its execution. Specialty levels
  • Commercial, Industrial, Maintenance, Fire Alarms, Marinas, Data Centers Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical safety standards Experience with motor controls, PLCs (preferred), and industrial equipment is a plus Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Valid clean driver's license and reliable transportation Must be able to pass a drug screen•We are a TN-Drug Free Workplace Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Work in varying environments (heights, confined spaces, indoor/outdoor conditions (heat, snow, ice, rain, etc.
