JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN
Data Center / Mission-Critical Project License Active Texas TDLR Journeyman Electrician License

  • REQUIRED Project Type Data Center / Mission-Critical Construction Position Summary We are seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to support the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on a large-scale data center / mission-critical project.
Candidates must hold an active Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Journeyman Electrician License, have a minimum of 4 years of industrial electrical experience, and possess current OSHA 10 training. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, productive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced industrial construction environments with strict quality, schedule, and commissioning requirements. Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, specifications, and installation details Experience using electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and electrical safe-work practices Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms as required Ability to meet project-specific onboarding, drug screening, background, and badging requirements Key Responsibilities Install electrical systems in accordance with project drawings, specifications, NEC requirements, and applicable codes. Install conduit, cable tray, wire, feeders, branch circuits, grounding, bonding, and associated electrical equipment. Perform conduit installation and bending, including EMT and rigid raceway systems as required. Install and assist with switchgear, transformers, panelboards, distribution equipment, UPS systems, PDUs, disconnects, and related mission-critical infrastructure. Pull, route, label, dress, and terminate electrical conductors and cables. Verify installations for proper routing, labeling, workmanship, and code compliance. Assist with electrical testing, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and turnover activities as required. Identify installation issues and communicate them promptly to Foremen and General Foremen. Coordinate work with mechanical, controls, low-voltage, commissioning, and other construction trades. Maintain clean, organized work areas and protect installed equipment from damage. Data Center / Mission-Critical Expectations Maintain a high level of workmanship, attention to detail, and equipment preservation. Follow project requirements for foreign material and debris control. Maintain proper cable identification, labeling, routing, and separation. Protect installed, energized, and high-value electrical equipment. Maintain required electrical clearances and restricted access areas. Follow approved energization, LOTO, quality-control, and commissioning procedures. Maintain clean electrical rooms and equipment areas. Safety Responsibilities Comply with all company, client, and project-specific safety policies and procedures. Maintain current OSHA 10 certification throughout project assignment. Participate in daily pre-task planning, JHA/JSA reviews, and safety meetings. Follow Lockout/Tagout requirements and electrical safe-work practices at all times. Properly select, inspect, and use required PPE. Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, near misses, and incidents. Follow fall-protection, ladder, aerial-lift, and mobile-equipment requirements. Maintain excellent housekeeping in electrical rooms, pathways, and active work areas. Preferred Qualifications Previous data center or mission-critical construction experience Experience with medium
  • and low-voltage electrical distribution systems Experience installing switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, and associated equipment Experience on large-scale industrial projects with strict quality and commissioning requirements Physical Requirements Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in active construction environments.
Ability to safely climb ladders and work from aerial lifts or elevated platforms. Ability to lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment commonly associated with the electrical trade. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions. Ability to work extended shifts, overtime, nights, or weekends when required by project schedule.
