Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kickstart your career in the electrical trade! This paid position offers hands-on experience working alongside licensed electricians on diverse construction projects. You'll develop essential skills in electrical systems, blueprint reading, and safety protocols while contributing to exciting commercial and industrial developments. Responsibilities Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of electrical components. Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters to verify proper connections and system integrity. Handle low voltage and high voltage wiring tasks in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Participate in site safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols. Contribute to framing carpentry tasks as needed for electrical installations within building structures. Skills Previous experience with industrial or commercial electrical work is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction site environments and blueprint reading enhances your effectiveness on the job. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters is essential. Knowledge of low voltage systems, high voltage safety practices, and NEC regulations ensures compliance and safety. Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately supports precise installations. Experience with construction or framing carpentry provides a valuable advantage in understanding building structures. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude help foster teamwork and continuous learning.
