Job Description

⚡ Journeyman Electrician (Licensed or Journeyman Level) Manufacturing / Industrial Environment Power the Production That Builds the Future We're looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our manufacturing team and play a critical role in keeping our plant running safely, efficiently, and reliably. In this hands-on position, you'll work with 120V-480V electrical systems , high‑speed production equipment, and complex industrial machinery—making a real impact every day. 🔧 What You'll Do As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic systems that support continuous plant operations. Core Responsibilities Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, fixtures, and components using hand and power tools. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing equipment to identify root causes and execute lasting repairs. Connect and service electrical components such as circuit breakers, transformers, motor controls, PLCs, and control panels . Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or compliance issues and ensure adherence to electrical codes and safety standards. Evaluate equipment conditions and advise leadership when continued operation could pose safety or operational risks. Test circuits and components using multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes , and other diagnostic tools. Install, bend, and route conduit; pull wire and cable; and complete terminations for low-voltage, high-voltage, and 3‑phase power systems . Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on industrial production equipment, including systems integrated with hydraulics and controls . Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to plan and execute work accurately. Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and support high-speed equipment. Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Complete work efficiently, professionally, and with a strong attention to detail. Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support evolving operational demands. 🧠 What You Bring Essential Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with 120V-480V electrical systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems. Expertise in conduit installation, wire pulling, terminations, and electrical testing. Solid understanding of industrial power systems, including low-voltage, high-voltage, and 3-phase . Working knowledge of transformers, motor controls, PLCs, and circuit breakers . Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in production equipment. Comfortable using electrical test equipment and hand/power tools. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills. Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement. Minimum 5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience , preferably with high-speed equipment. ✅ Preferred Qualifications TDLR Journeyman Electrician License (highly preferred). Experience repairing electrical equipment in a manufacturing or plant environment. Exposure to PLC-based systems , including basic troubleshooting of inputs and outputs. Experience working with electrically controlled hydraulic systems. Clear communication skills when working with coworkers and leadership. 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday (frequent overtime available) 2nd
Shift:
2:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., Monday-Friday (also offers significant overtime) Work around industrial machinery, heavy materials, and high-speed equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
