Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of complex electrical equipment, including high-voltage systems, industrial machinery, and automation controls. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to renovations, while adhering to strict safety standards and local electrical codes. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will contribute significantly to our operational excellence. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment in compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and connect industrial machinery, ensuring all work meets safety procedures and local electrical codes Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and power tools to identify faults quickly and efficiently Maintain industrial electrical systems by performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and upgrades during renovation or construction projects Work safely on construction sites by following electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and automation controls Qualifications Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and commercial electrical systems Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading skills essential for accurate wiring and installation tasks Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes is required Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, troubleshooting electrical systems, and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers, as well as power tools for installation and repair work Construction site experience is preferred; familiarity with renovation projects is a plus Ability to perform detailed diagnostics using testing equipment like ohmmeters and multimeters while adhering to strict safety procedures Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively across teams Join us if you're passionate about delivering safe, reliable electrical solutions in fast-paced industrial environments!
