Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; identify faults in complex electrical systems including high-voltage wiring. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while following electrical safety procedures and local regulations. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for wiring, conduit installation, and system upgrades on construction sites or renovation projects. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with project teams during construction or renovation phases to install or upgrade commercial or industrial electrical systems, including low voltage applications and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial or commercial electrical systems. Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading for accurate installation and troubleshooting. Experience working with high-voltage and low-voltage electrical wiring in various environments. Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing equipment for troubleshooting electrical systems. Ability to work safely following all electrical safety procedures; experience with NFPA 70 compliance is essential. Construction site experience with a solid understanding of building codes, renovation processes, and installation techniques. Familiarity with industrial electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial control panels. Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, conduit bending, wiring techniques, and blueprint reading is required. Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction; additional handyman or construction experience is a plus.
