Signal Metal Industries is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical troubleshooting background to join our maintenance team. This is a hands-on, electrical-focused maintenance position supporting a heavy manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, machine controls, PLCs, motors, sensors, and production equipment while also assisting with mechanical repairs as needed. Candidates with experience in steel fabrication, machining or other manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, machine controls, and production equipment Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, sensors, relays, VFDs, and PLC-controlled equipment Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime Maintain and repair CNC machines, welding equipment, overhead cranes, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals Perform mechanical repairs, adjustments, lubrication, and equipment rebuilds as needed Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety requirements Complete maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance documentation Work closely with production teams to safely resolve equipment issuesQUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong electrical troubleshooting experience with production equipment and machine controls Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Experience troubleshooting motors, sensors, relays, and industrial control systems Preventive maintenance and equipment repair experience Must provide own basic tools and toolbox Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to work overtime as needed PLC troubleshooting experience VFD troubleshooting experience CNC machine maintenance experience Overhead crane maintenance experience Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experienceIDEAL CANDIDATE
You enjoy troubleshooting problems, keeping production equipment running, and finding solutions when equipment goes down. You are comfortable working independently, reading schematics, diagnosing electrical issues, and performing repairs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
