Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant electrical operations while supporting the successful completion of construction and maintenance tasks. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to accurately execute project plans. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and low voltage testers to complete electrical tasks efficiently. Work on construction sites performing new installations or renovations while adhering to safety protocols and building codes. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they escalate. Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry or general contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and compliance records. Requirements Valid journeyman electrician license with proven experience in industrial or commercial settings. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage (HV) and low voltage applications. Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex electrical installations. Proficiency with testing equipment such as ohmmeters and familiarity with NEC regulations for safe wiring practices. Demonstrated ability to work on construction sites performing renovation or new build projects safely and efficiently. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in industrial environments is highly desirable. Strong skills in using hand tools, power tools, and power equipment necessary for electrical work. Knowledge of schematics, framing carpentry basics, handyman skills, and general construction practices. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards. $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
