Part-time, flexible schedule, monthly base paid year-round. No attic crawls, no emergency night calls. Read this first. This is a part-time W-2 employment role with real supervisory duties — plan review, permit signoff, and periodic job site presence. It is not a license lease. Under TDLR rules your license can only be assigned to one electrical contractor, and you'll be expected to actually supervise the work performed under it. About us Bernardy Lighting is a high-end outdoor and landscape lighting company serving North DFW — Westlake, Southlake, Flower Mound, Highland Park, Preston Hollow and University Park. 500+ installs, 124+ five-star Google reviews. AOLP CLVLT and COLD certified, FX Luminaire and Kichler LightPro dealer. The owner is a former police officer and runs the business accordingly: clean paperwork, no shortcuts, no gray areas. We currently sub out our line-voltage work. We're bringing it in-house and expanding into HOA common-area electrical service. The work — roughly 80% HOA commercial, 20% residential Parking lot and common-area pole light installation, replacement and repair Running new circuits and feeders; trenching and boring GFCI outlet installation and repair Photocell, contactor and lighting control troubleshooting Panel work and circuit additions Line-voltage supply side on landscape lighting systems What you'll own Design and plan review on all line-voltage scope Permit applications and signoff across North DFW municipalities Supervision of journeymen and registered apprentices working under our license NEC and TDLR compliance Periodic job site presence on commercial work Your annual continuing education — we cover the cost Requirements Active Texas Master Electrician license in good standing Not currently assigned as Master of Record to another electrical contractor Commercial experience: 277/480V, pole and site lighting, underground, panel work Willing to be a W-2 employee on our payroll Valid driver's license and clean MVR Preferred Existing relationships with North DFW building departments Site lighting or photometrics experience HOA or property management vendor experience Semi-retired, or currently in a facilities/institutional role and looking for steady part-time income Compensation Monthly base paid every month regardless of job volume — including slow months — plus per-permit pay. CE and license renewal covered. We're not going to hire you in spring and lay you off in January. The base is continuous.
