Job Description

Job Description A leading oil & gas company is seeking a Solar Operator to support the daily operations and maintenance of utility-scale solar facilities. This individual will be responsible for monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing maintenance activities to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Perform daily site inspections to identify equipment issues, safety concerns, or operational abnormalities. Monitor facility performance through SCADA systems and respond to alarms, alerts, and production issues. Troubleshoot and repair solar plant equipment, including electrical systems, weather stations, modules, inverters, and related components. Execute preventative and corrective maintenance activities using work orders assigned through SAP. Document all maintenance and operational activities within SAP. Coordinate with the Renewable Energy Advisor and Operations Supervisor to plan maintenance activities and minimize downtime. Support electrical compliance, plant reliability, and overall performance objectives. Assist with NERC compliance activities and reporting requirements. Support monthly operational reporting, including production and availability metrics. Interface with internal stakeholders, external agencies, contractors, and landowners as needed. Ensure proper waste management and compliance with environmental regulations. Assist with insurance claims and incident investigations when required.
