Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for performing Electrical duties and other general maintenance duties as assigned. Reporting to the Director of Plant Operations and Maintenance.
Qualifications:
Applicant must have ability to perform work related to electricity and electrical maintenance and other general maintenance duties. Ability to exercise sound work practices, and to develop an awareness for safety. Be aware of and help maintain energy efficiency. Be able to work from drawings and specifications. Be able to perform hard physical labor under adverse environments and weather conditions. Must have High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational or Trade School preferred. Must have minimum of 2 years facilities maintenance experience. Journeyman Electrician license is required. Master Electrician is preferred. Current Texas driver's license and insurable with the college insurance carrier. Must be willing to attend continuing education and training for professional and personal growth.
Salary:
The minimum hourly salary for this position is $24.60 - $30.00 and the actual starting salary will be dependent upon education and experience of the chosen candidate.
Fringe Benefits:
This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program. Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
