In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites and industrial facilities while utilizing your extensive electrical experience to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities Install, connect, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation and repair tasks. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment to ensure proper operation of complex electrical systems. Conduct inspections of electrical installations to verify compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards. Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; perform repairs efficiently to minimize downtime. Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry tasks, and general handyman duties as needed. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA regulations. Document all work performed accurately in reports and logs for project records and compliance purposes. Qualifications Valid journeyman electrician license or certification with proven experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Extensive hands-on experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance on construction sites. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Strong knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code), low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and safety standards. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation controls is highly desirable. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools including drills and saws; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment. Ability to work effectively on renovation projects involving framing carpentry or general handyman tasks when required. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; capable of diagnosing issues swiftly for prompt resolution. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and project managers.
