Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated TDLR Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic electrical team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse electrical projects across industrial and commercial settings, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant electrical systems. As a licensed professional, you will be responsible for executing complex electrical installations, troubleshooting systems, and maintaining adherence to all safety and code standards. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering top-quality electrical solutions while fostering a safe and productive work environment. Duties Install, maintain, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with local electrical codes and NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise wiring and system configurations. Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on various systems, including high-voltage wiring, low-voltage controls, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to all electrical safety procedures. Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and ensure proper system functionality. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to install or upgrade electrical infrastructure efficiently. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant safety standards, maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Document work performed accurately through detailed reports, diagrams, and logs for project records and future reference. Skills Proven experience as an industrial electrician with strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems. Extensive commercial electrician experience with a focus on complex wiring projects in various environments. Deep understanding of NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards for electrical safety) compliance requirements. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and resolving issues efficiently. Proficiency reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Ability to work with high-voltage electrical wiring safely while following all safety procedures. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage control systems. Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations to ensure code-compliant installations. Strong hand tool proficiency along with the use of power tools for installation and repair tasks. Construction site experience including renovation projects, new installations, or upgrades in commercial or industrial settings. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality assurance.
