Job Description
McCarthy Building Companies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Control Panel Technician II responsible for the precise assembly and wiring of electrical components according to engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and industry standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble and wire control panels precisely according to electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and design specifications.
- Route, bundle, and label wiring clearly, ensuring a clean, organized, and professional appearance.
- Select and install appropriate wiring, connectors, terminal blocks, and components.
- Verify and inspect wiring continuity, correctness, and neatness.
- Troubleshoot wiring issues or discrepancies proactively and document modifications clearly.
- Maintain adherence to NEC, UL508A, and OSHA safety standards during wiring activities.
- Promote safety by adhering to all safety guidelines, using proper PPE, keeping your workspace clean, and actively participating in safety discussions.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong ability to interpret and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency electrical wiring methods, including proper wire sizing, stripping, labeling, and terminating techniques.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, wire crimpers, cutters, and strippers.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring accuracy and visual quality
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in assembling / wiring industrial control panels, PLC panels, and motor control panels.
- Familiarity with UL508A control panel standards.
- Exposure to quality control practices in control panel work.
- Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds
- Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
- Minimum age 18+
