Job Description

McCarthy Building Companies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Control Panel Technician II responsible for the precise assembly and wiring of electrical components according to engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and industry standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble and wire control panels precisely according to electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and design specifications.
  • Route, bundle, and label wiring clearly, ensuring a clean, organized, and professional appearance.
  • Select and install appropriate wiring, connectors, terminal blocks, and components.
  • Verify and inspect wiring continuity, correctness, and neatness.
  • Troubleshoot wiring issues or discrepancies proactively and document modifications clearly.
  • Maintain adherence to NEC, UL508A, and OSHA safety standards during wiring activities.
  • Promote safety by adhering to all safety guidelines, using proper PPE, keeping your workspace clean, and actively participating in safety discussions.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Strong ability to interpret and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency electrical wiring methods, including proper wire sizing, stripping, labeling, and terminating techniques.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, wire crimpers, cutters, and strippers.
  • Excellent attention to detail ensuring accuracy and visual quality
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience in assembling / wiring industrial control panels, PLC panels, and motor control panels.
  • Familiarity with UL508A control panel standards.
  • Exposure to quality control practices in control panel work.
  • Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of material weighing 50 pounds
  • Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
  • Minimum age 18+
