Job Introduction Skilled Plant Electrician needed to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems at the Cricket Mountain Plant while supporting safe, reliable production and continuous improvement across site operations. United States - UT - Delta Position Summary The Plant Electrician supports safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Cricket Mountain Plant by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across the site. This position works closely with operations and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and ensure compliance with plant safety standards, electrical codes, and environmental requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Follow all plant safety, environmental, lockout/tagout, and electrical safe work practices, procedures, and expectations. Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant electrical systems, equipment, and controls to support safe and reliable production. Install, maintain, and repair motors, starters, drives, switchgear, MCCs, panels, conduit, lighting, and related electrical components. Diagnose electrical and control system issues using meters, testing devices, prints, schematics, and equipment manuals. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime and improve reliability. Support troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation, sensors, and automated process control equipment as needed. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documents. Assist with equipment upgrades, electrical projects, system improvements, and commissioning of new or modified equipment. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and parts usage. Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions. Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement in a timely manner. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable electrical codes, site standards, and company policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in electrical systems or industrial maintenance preferred. Journeyman electrician license. Minimum of 3 years of industrial, manufacturing, mining, or heavy plant electrical maintenance experience preferred. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, motor controls, variable frequency drives, MCCs, switchgear, and power distribution. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Experience troubleshooting electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and safe work practices. Working knowledge of PLCs, control systems, instrumentation, and automated equipment preferred. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, regulations, and plant safety practices. Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance systems, digital records, and work order software. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work in all areas of the plant, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions. Ability to lift, carry, push, or move at least 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work as needed. Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, quality, and continuous improvement.
