Position Overview The Industrial Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment. This role supports a variety of industrial projects and requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Install and maintain industrial electrical systems, equipment, and components Diagnose and repair electrical issues involving motors, controls, lighting, backup systems, and low-voltage systems Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and technical schematics Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability Use electrical testing equipment to identify and troubleshoot system issues Coordinate with supervisors, team members, and other trades to complete projects efficiently Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and identified issues Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical codes Qualifications 4-6 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience required Journeyman Electrician License preferred Ability to work independently and remain productive with minimal supervision Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Must be authorized to work in the United States Commitment to safety, professionalism, and Design Electric's core values Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, and work in active industrial environments throughout the workday Benefits & Perks Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Health Savings Account (HSA) Paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays Short-term and long-term disability coverage Company bonus and gainsharing opportunities Free orthopedic and telemedicine services 24/7 virtual healthcare access and nurse advocate support Prescription cost-saving program Design Electric, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. 4-6 years of commercial electrical experience.
