Virginia ABC is seeking a skilled and dependable Senior Mechanic to ensure the Hanover Headquarters and Warehouse facilities remain fully functional and safe for daily business operations. This role is essential in maintaining a comfortable, compliant environment for employees and visitors. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation for approximately 13 weeks per year, providing 24/7 emergency repair coverage for all systems within the Hanover complex. The Senior Mechanic will focus primarily on electrical systems while also supporting routine commercial maintenance needs across HVAC/R, plumbing, telecommunication/networking systems and fire/life safety systems. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections and repairs on a wide range of building systems in compliance with all state and federal regulations. Areas of Responsibility Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on electrical systems, components, motors and low-voltage controls across the Hanover Headquarters and Warehouse facilities. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R equipment, heating and hot water systems, air conditioning units and ventilation systems. Perform preventive maintenance, testing and repairs on fire and life safety systems, including wet and dry risers, FM-200 systems, pre-action systems, inspector tests, backup water storage tanks, churn tests and diesel, electric and jockey fire pump inspections. Inspect and maintain all types of fire doors, hydrants, drains and supporting safety infrastructure in accordance with state and federal codes. Assist the supervisor and county/state fire marshal in quarterly fire drills and regulatory inspections. Install, troubleshoot and repair telecommunication and networking systems within the Hanover Headquarters and Warehouse facilities. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers while responding to maintenance work requests. Support construction and renovation projects by ensuring compliance with all state/federal codes and procedures. Order necessary maintenance materials, parts, and supplies; assist in obtaining vendor/contractor quotes as requested by the supervisor. Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs, providing 24/7 support during assigned weeks. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years commercial/industrial electrical experience

knowledge Troubleshooting from drawings/schematics Extensive commercial maintenance experience involving installation, repair and replacement of electrical systems, components and motors Ability to troubleshoot electrical, low-voltage and electro-mechanical equipment General knowledge of building systems (mechanical, plumbing, HVAC/R) Preventive maintenance and repair of fire/life safety systems Strong customer service, communication and work order management skills Preferred Qualifications Possession of a Journeyman Electrician license in the commercial electrical field.
