Job Description

Vital Fuel Systems, Inc. is growing, and we're hiring a Controls Electrician to join our team! Our work supports some of the largest technology clients in the world and delivers mission-critical fuel systems that keep essential facilities operating. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with low-voltage electrical systems, bending conduit, pulling wire, making terminations installing supports and leading a crew in industrial or mission-critical new construction environments.
Travel:
Approximately 25-95% travel, varying based on project needs. What You'll Do Electrical (Low Voltage / Controls) Install low-voltage electrical systems and components such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation systems, and related controls. Bend conduit, pull wire, use Mobile Elevated Work Platform, run mini-excavator, skid steers and forklifts, make fiber terminations. Assist pipe fitters and welders as needed. Follow electrical codes and regulations to ensure safe, compliant installations. Use PPE and follow established safety practices to mitigate risks and hazards. Ensure systems are properly grounded, insulated, and tested for compliance. Document all installations, repairs, inspections, and testing activities accurately. Review control drawings, sequences of operation, and system documentation to ensure proper functionality. What You Bring 3+ years of experience installing, commercial electrical systems, automation systems, generators, fuel systems, or related equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals. Experience working in industrial, power generation, fuel systems, mission-critical, manufacturing, utility, or commercial construction environments preferred. Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with project managers, technicians, subcontractors, and customers. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Fluent in English, including speaking, reading, and writing. Must pass background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle screenings. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain secure-site access. Valid Real ID driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation. Willing to travel approximately 25-95% based on project needs. Willing to complete required certifications, safety training, and continuing education. Committed to maintaining technical expertise and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
