Job Description

What You'll Do:
This position is responsible for overall general maintenance and repair of the facility including maintenance in Casino/Hotel and on grounds, works with Facilities Manager to determine appropriate actions and projects. This position ensures the confidentiality, security, and accuracy of guest's records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.
What You'll Bring:
Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of Casino. Maintain and ensure policies and procedures are being followed per the departments' Internal Controls. Ensure Guest service standards. Interact with Guests and fellow Team Members in an upbeat and friendly manner. Proactively identify problems and recommend solutions. Follow through with department management. Repair and or replace light bulbs, electrical motors, and ballast as needed. Vacuum refrigeration filters and coils on a regular as needed basis. Change HVAC filters. Hang promotional signs and banners. Repair minor plumbing and electrical, and carpentry problems. Maintain facility equipment. Provide preventative maintenance as instructed. Repair minor problems in the restrooms, kitchen, and toilets/urinals. Prepare daily work forms. Routinely inspect all lighting throughout the casino & hotel, accounting building, and other out-laying buildings on casino and hotel property, identifying potential problems, and resolving them in a proficient timely manner. Respond to all maintenance requests. Maintain the mechanics of the water system, generator, air conditioning and heating, and other mechanics of the facilities as assigned. Assist with property maintenance when weather conditions are adverse (run snow blower, shovel snow, and apply deicer. Clean roof drains and roof). Provide general assistance to all facilities team members as needed. Maintains updated current information on facility disaster plan and act accordingly. Work safely and efficiently, utilizing safe equipment, techniques, and products. Maintain a clean and organized work area in the Shop. Help set up events.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Must have ability to: To secure lift and fork truck certification within 90 days of employment. Communicate effectively with all levels of team members and guests. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently. To work on multiple projects simultaneously, with speed and accuracy. To work periodically under conditions of extreme urgency (creating higher levels of job stress). To work independently and use good judgment. Perform other tasks assigned.
Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities:
High School diploma or GED preferred. Valid Driver's License Clean DMV record to submit for insurability A minimum of three (3) years of experience in maintenance/electrical environment required. Advance knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing and/or HVAC, refrigeration, general building maintenance, with general carpentry skills required. Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot building problems and recommend solutions. Good communication skills, both oral and written. Read, write and speak English fluently. Strong guest service and problem-solving skills. General Maintenance experience and knowledge preferred. Good communication skills, both oral and written. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
