An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both commercial and residential electrical systems. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, and equipment. The role requires a thorough understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential settings. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to determine wiring layouts and equipment installations. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and repair or replace faulty wiring, fixtures, or equipment. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations. Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, material usage, and time logs. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of electrical tools and materials. Respond to emergency electrical issues and provide timely and effective solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Washington AND Idaho. 4+ years of experience as an electrician, with a focus on both commercial and residential projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with low voltage systems, specifically fire alarm, security, and/or access control.
Work Environment:
Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and environments. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in potentially hazardous conditions. Overtime and on-call work may be required.
Pay:
$35.00 - $50.00 per hour
