Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Journeyman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial renovations to industrial installations, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver exceptional results. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and maintenance. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks in industrial settings. Conduct testing using tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively. Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure seamless integration of electrical components during renovation or new construction projects. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and system modifications. Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA regulations. Skills Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards. Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with a focus on renovation projects. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in industrial environments. Ability to work confidently with hand tools, power tools, power drills, and other electrical equipment. Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems as well as high voltage applications aligned with NEC guidelines. Experience with schematics interpretation for troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced construction or renovation settings. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
Pay:
$35.36 - $42.59 per hour
