Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our client's dynamic electrical team. This role involves overseeing and executing complex electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across various construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, including high and low voltage applications, schematic reading, and adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC). As a key contributor, you will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, quality expectations, and project timelines. This position offers an opportunity to lead electrical operations on diverse construction sites while utilizing your extensive technical expertise. Responsibilities Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to determine wiring layouts and installation requirements Bend, fabricate, and assemble EMT and rigid conduit systems to specification Pull wire and cable over long distances across industrial and commercial environments Complete a thorough Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety checklist prior to commencing any new task, in compliance with
OSHA 29 CFR 1926
(Construction) and 29 CFR 1910 (General Industry) standards Install, replace, maintain, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment in accordance with the NEC and Wisconsin SPS 316 Splice, join, and connect wire to form circuits; verify connections meet code and manufacturer requirements Test circuits to ensure integrity, continuity, and safety prior to energization Position, maintain, and install distribution and control equipment including switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, and fuse enclosures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site at all times Complete accurate daily documentation including time sheets, work orders, and job progress reports Communicate professionally with clients, site supervisors, and CCA team members regarding work scope, progress, and any site concerns Requirements Minimum 5 years experience and must hold an active Wisconsin Journeyman Electrician License Out-of-state applicants: Wisconsin does not offer automatic reciprocity; applicants licensed in another state must apply for a Wisconsin license through DSPS prior to performing electrical work in the state Must hold a current OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety card (or ability to obtain prior to start); OSHA 30-Hour preferred Current Working at Heights / Aerial Work Platform (AWP) certification required Solid working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Wisconsin Administrative Code SPS 316 Experience bending and assembling EMT and rigid conduit and wire pulling over long distances in industrial or commercial settings Ability to work with distribution and control equipment: switches, relays, breaker panels, and fuse enclosures Experience reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and specifications Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a crew, managing tasks efficiently with minimal supervision Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, climbing, and working in varied environmental conditions
Pay:
$36.00 - $46.00 per hour
