Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Electrician to join our dynamic team in Beckley, West Virginia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse electrical projects, including commercial, industrial, and renovation sites. As a Certified Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and local electrical codes. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly and safely, contributing to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and construction sites using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and schematics to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system work in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code). Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical problems efficiently. Ensure all work complies with electrical safety procedures, local electrical codes, and NFPA 70 standards to maintain a safe working environment. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrician experience to support automation systems. Collaborate on renovation projects by framing carpentry, conduit installation, and general handyman tasks as needed. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and safety procedures followed on each project site. Requirements Valid certification as a licensed electrician in West Virginia or equivalent state certification. Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage, low voltage, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial control systems, and schematics reading. Ability to work safely following all electrical safety procedures and NFPA 70 compliance standards. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of construction processes such as renovation projects and framing carpentry. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, screwdrivers), power tools (e.g., drills), power saws, multimeters (including ohmmeters), and other diagnostic equipment. Strong understanding of local electrical codes including NEC regulations for safe installation practices. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform complex electrical diagnostics efficiently. Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
