Job Description
Position Summary Jupiter Aluminum is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to support the safe and reliable operation of our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, controls, and production equipment to maximize uptime and ensure efficient plant operations.
What You'll Do:
Maintain and Repair Electrical Systems Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues on production equipment and facility systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, drives, control panels, sensors, transformers, and electrical circuits. Respond quickly to equipment failures to minimize downtime and support production goals. Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, voltage testers, and other electrical testing equipment. Install and Improve Equipment Install, wire, and commission electrical systems and components. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects. Ensure proper electrical load balancing and system performance. Promote Safety and Compliance Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and OSHA standards. Ensure electrical systems are properly grounded and safeguarded. Identify and report potential hazards and equipment concerns. Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence. Documentation and Communication Complete maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation. Communicate equipment issues and repair status with supervisors and team members. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and system modifications. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, motors, wiring, and troubleshooting. Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Experience working safely around industrial equipment. Preferred Electrician certification or equivalent electrical training. Experience in metals, steel, aluminum, coil coating, or continuous manufacturing environments. Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, sensors, automation systems, and industrial controls. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, moving equipment, fumes, and confined spaces. Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work at heights for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform hands-on maintenance activities.
