Job Description

mtvSolar (Mountain View Solar), a leading provider of solar and battery storage solutions, seeks skilled and motivated Service Technicians with electrical backgrounds to join our growing team. mtvSolar is the region's longest running solar and battery storage company with unmatched workmanship and attention to detail. As we are looking to build our commercial Service team, our installations run the full spectrum, with commercial and municipal work forming the majority of our installations. Our primary service area is the WV panhandle, Western MD, PA and Northern VA with occasional work outside the area. In this role, you will:
  • Maintain, and troubleshoot solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical principles, including AC/DC circuits, safe electrical practices, and proper use of multimeters.
  • Perform on-site electrical tasks related to solar panel installation, including wiring, inverter connection, conduit bending and installation and system testing.
  • Collaborate effectively with customers to understand their needs and ensure a positive experience.
  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment for solar PV installations.
  • Follow all applicable electrical codes and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all work performed.
Qualifications:
  • We are looking for all levels of experience, journeyman and master licensed electricians a plus.
  • Understanding of NEC standards.
  • Solar experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong IT and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT background check.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • OSHA 10 hour or better certification card required.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift at least 50 lbs
  • Strong ability to understand and interpret technical manuals.
  • Excellent written communication skills for daily safety reports and progress updates.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

    beginning at $30 per hour, commensurate with certifications and experience.
