Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills to deliver high-quality electrical solutions that power our clients' operations. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters to test electrical systems. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety regulations. Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical installations during renovation or new construction projects. Diagnose complex electrical issues involving low voltage, high voltage, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and schematics. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections to ensure accountability and quality control. Requirements Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized by local authorities. Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician working on construction sites or renovation projects. Strong knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, schematics, and NEC standards. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and testing devices such as ohmmeters. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems is highly desirable. Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed schematics for complex electrical installations. Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and efficient project execution. Familiarity with frame carpentry or handyman skills is a plus for supporting various project needs. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions. $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
