What You'll Do As a Solar Journeyman Electrician, you'll play a key role in building and energizing large-scale solar systems: Install, maintain, and repair PV solar systems, including panels and inverters Run, bend, and land conduit (above and below ground) Perform electrical terminations (torqueing, labeling, and verification) Manage wiring across arrays (mod-to-mod, string harnesses, etc.) Test systems to ensure safe, efficient, code-compliant performance Troubleshoot and resolve electrical/system issues Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and construction docs Lead and support underground electrical installations Work safely with power tools and hand tools daily Collaborate with a skilled team to hit daily production goals What You Bring Active Journeyman Electrician license (Maine required) 6+ years of hands-on electrical experience Experience with solar (PV) or similar electrical systems preferred Strong conduit bending and installation skills Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics Knowledge of NEC codes and safety standards Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions Willingness to work 50-60 hours/week (including overtime) Bonus Points If You Have Utility-scale solar or renewable energy project experience Experience with testing procedures (VOC, etc.) A strong team mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced job site Why You'll Love This Job Consistent overtime (50-60 hours/week) Daily per diem for each day worked Work on a major renewable energy project Gain valuable experience in the booming solar industry Be part of a safety-first, experienced team Competitive earnings over a steady 4-6 month project Work Environment Outdoor solar construction site in Maine Work in all weather conditionsācome prepared
