Job Description
Key qualifications and capabilities include:
University degree, or equivalent, in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Commercial Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience. Typically 5+ years of relevant experience supporting building, infrastructure, civil engineering, industrial, energy, or construction projects. Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles, cost management methodologies, and commercial project controls practices. Experience administering contracts and managing commercial aspects of complex projects. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and technical documentation. Working knowledge of construction methodologies, project delivery models, procurement strategies, and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within project cost performance. Experience preparing cost reports, forecasts, progress evaluations, and commercial presentations. Ability to work under minimal supervision while effectively managing competing priorities and deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. Confidence influencing discussions, contributing to proposals and presentations, and communicating commercial recommendations clearly and professionally. Strong understanding of systems, processes, and tools related to quantity surveying, commercial management, and project controls. Proficiency with standard commercial and project management software platforms, including Microsoft Office applications and relevant cost management systems.
