Full Time Overview Looking to step into a role where you're not just building estimates—but shaping projects, leading teams, and driving wins? This is an opportunity to take ownership of the preconstruction process and play a key role in how commercial projects are pursued, priced, and secured. Why This Role Stands Out This isn't a back-office estimating position. You'll be: Leading strategy on high-impact commercial projects. Influencing decisions before construction even begins. Building and mentoring a strong estimating team. Working closely with leadership, clients, and field teams. Directly contributing to winning work and company growth. If you enjoy ownership, visibility, and leadership, this role delivers. What You'll Be Doing Lead and Develop Manage and mentor a team of estimators. Set direction, expectations, and performance standards. Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Drive Preconstruction Strategy Lead estimate planning, reviews, and execution. Oversee conceptual and detailed cost estimates. Guide value engineering and constructability decisions. Manage bid schedules and workflows. Influence Projects Early Partner with clients, architects, and engineers. Lead subcontractor outreach and bid strategies. Ensure complete, competitive, and accurate proposals. Shape early-stage decisions that impact project success. Make a Business Impact Support project pursuits and business development. Strengthen subcontractor and partner relationships. Analyze past project data to improve future performance. Introduce smarter processes and innovative solutions. What You Bring •Experience:
7+ years in commercial construction (field and/or office) with 5+ years specifically in estimating (vertical construction). •Leadership:
Proven experience in leadership or mentoring. •Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of drawings, specs, and cost structures. • Proficiency with takeoff tools such as OST or E-Takeoff. •Soft Skills:
Confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills. Nice to Have Alaska project experience. Field leadership background (Foreman, Project Engineer, etc.). AEP/CPE certification. Exposure to 3D modeling or construction tech.Compensation and Rewards Base Salary:
$90,000 - $125,000+ (depending on experience).Performance Bonus:
