Job Description

CG Metal Works in Camden, AR is hiring a CNC & Fabrication Estimator We are looking for someone with experience reading and understanding blueprints to determine methods, hours and cost to produce custom parts. Must be able to estimate the hours and methods to be used with a waterjet, CNC Haas mills, lathes, and welders. Must also have good computer skills and be proficient in Excel. Key Responsibilities •
Review Prints:
Read engineering drawings and technical specs to understand the scope of work. •
Calculate Costs:
Figure out the time required for water jet, machining, cutting, welding, and assembly. •
Material Sourcing:
Estimate material prices getting quotes from vendors. Also estimates for various things such as load testing, painting/coating, dye pen etc. Order material after PO is awarded. Inspect material received to ensure it is correct. •
Process Planning:
Decide the most efficient steps to machine and weld the parts. •
Prepare Quotes:
prepare quotes for the site General Manager to approve prior to sending, and other duties as assigned by GM. Experience & Education (Preferred Not required) •
Shop Experience:
3+ years of hands-on machine or welding fabrication experience. •
Estimating Background:
2+ years of manufacturing estimating or quote preparation experience. •
Technical Training:
Degree or certificate in manufacturing technology, precision machining, or engineering
Pay:
$24.00 - $45.00 per hour
