Arconic is currently in search of Estimator I to join our Kawneer team based in Springdale, AR . Job Summary:
As an Estimator I at Kawneer, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for accurately reviewing and entering customer requests for pricing into our system. Your role will be central to maintaining effective communication with customers, overseeing order pursuit activities, and engaging in project negotiations. Your keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills will ensure that quotes are returned to customers accurately and on time, helping the Order Pursuit Team meet revenue targets. In this role, you will: Prepare material proposals and material take-offs for Kawneer products from customer supplied lists, customer elevations and architectural plans/specifications. Work safely in a manner that protects and promotes the health and well-being of the individual, the environment, and the organization. Interact and work with customers and sales representatives on quote follow-up, order changes, product related issues and customer claims. Provide required levels of service to customers where Kawneer is the preferred supplier. Coordinate and collaborate with employees and other internal resources on complex projects. Develop knowledge of and regularly use Kawneer product portfolio and price book. Be a point-of-contact on phone inquiries with expectation of 100% "live call" response and customer assistance. Work with customers and sales to formulate successful order pursuit strategies.
You have:
(required) High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited educational institution 1 year of experience in customer service role Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Exceptional Candidates also have:
(preferred) Construction industry background or knowledge of architectural systems products. 2 or more years of experience in the Construction Industry 2- or 4-year degree in Construction Management from an accredited institution
Essential Skills Needed:
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to function in an environment with tight deadlines Experience with KaluCAD and JD Edwards is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively Also note: 0% travel required
