Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to effectively analyze project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other project documents. Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create accurate bids and manage project data. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimating purposes. Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best rates for materials and services. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Conduct site visits to assess conditions, gather data, and validate estimates against actual site conditions. Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and related documentation for future reference. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members. Experience in project management within a construction environment is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost control. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required based on experience.
