Phoenix, AZ Job Details Full-time $80,000 - $110,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Research Full Job Description Responsibilities Perform detailed HVAC, piping, and plumbing material and equipment takeoffs Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial mechanical projects Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and mechanical codes Utilize estimating software such as FastDUCT, FastPIPE, or similar platforms Develop proposals, budgets, cash-flow projections, and preliminary schedules Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, project managers, and internal teams Research current material, equipment, and labor pricing Identify potential project risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunities Manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Assist with additional estimating and preconstruction responsibilities as needed Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in mechanical estimating, project management, or mechanical construction Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems Experience performing material and equipment takeoffs Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and industry standards Experience with FastDUCT and FastPIPE preferred Experience estimating larger commercial, industrial, or design-build projects is a plus Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other standard business applications Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet demanding bid deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills What We Offer Competitive salary 401(k) with company matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Health savings account Paid time off and holiday pay Short- and long-term disability coverage Life insurance Retirement benefits This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with an established Arizona mechanical contractor offering long-term career growth and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Summary:
A well-established mechanical contractor in Arizona is seeking an experienced HVAC & Plumbing Estimator to join its team. This position is ideal for an estimator with a strong mechanical construction background who can produce accurate, competitive estimates for commercial HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects. The Estimator will be responsible for detailed takeoffs, bid preparation, budgeting, proposal development, and supporting projects from the preconstruction phase through turnover.
