Job Overview TCH is currently looking for an Estimator to work closely with our Sales team to provide bid proposals on projects that TCH is seeking to be awarded. The Door and Hardware Industry is a competitive environment where accuracy, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and efficiency play a major role in TCH's ability to successfully manage projects. Essential Job Functions Estimate project costs in a competitive bid environment using TCH estimating software

• EPWS (small to mid-sized projects) Analyze project specifications to ensure TCH is competitive in the marketplace Assist Project Managers with preparing professional bid proposals within the Bid Log Gather and review factory quotes
• using factory software, personnel or reps Double check Take Offs for accuracy Communicate with architects and vendors as necessary Organize bid costs including freight and Pre-Install for analysis by the sales staff and Management Research and problem solve special applications and products specified Increase industry and product knowledge by reviewing MBC orders and costs Coordinate with the Project Managers to secure Bid Bonds Share knowledge with new Estimating team members Attend internal and external training to increase product knowledge of the door and hardware industry Other duties as assigned Skills Requirements Door and Hardware or related experience/education preferred, but not required Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude Basic knowledge of reading plans and industry terminology Self-motivated individual who can manage multiple bids with varying deadlines High attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the company and with customers Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making and comprehension Intermediate knowledge of Windows-based programs•Excel, email Working Conditions Office environment involving extended periods of computer work and sitting.
