Day:

We are seeking a Senior Consultant Estimator to support the Capital Portfolio Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Team. This individual will play a key role in developing, reviewing, and improving project estimates for major capital projects ranging from $6M to $100M in value. The ideal candidate will bring a strong construction estimating background and serve as a leader within the estimating function by providing innovative ideas, process improvements, and mentorship to the team. This person will work closely with project managers, engineers, portfolio managers, and stakeholders to create accurate cost estimates and drive consistency across the capital project portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and support the development of cost estimates for capital projects ranging from $6M to $100M.
• Utilize InEight estimating software to build, review, and maintain project estimates.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the estimating team, helping establish best practices and improve estimating accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiencies, and innovative estimating methodologies.
• Collaborate with project teams to evaluate scope changes, risks, and cost impacts.
• Review historical data, market trends, labor rates, and material costs to develop comprehensive estimates.
• Present estimate assumptions, methodologies, and recommendations to project stakeholders and leadership.
• Support long-range capital planning and portfolio forecasting activities.

Skills and Requirements Requirements:

• 5-6+ years of professional estimating experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with InEight estimating software. (InEight is also known as Hard Dollar)
• Proven experience leading estimating efforts and influencing project teams.
• Ability to bring fresh ideas, process improvements, and strategic thinking to the estimating organization.
• Experience estimating projects in the construction industry; utility industry experience is not required.

Demonstrated experience supporting projects ranging from $6M to $100M in total project value. Nice to

Have:

• Experience supporting utility, energy, infrastructure, transportation, or industrial construction projects.

Experience mentoring junior estimators or leading estimating teams.
