Junior Estimator

Position Summary The Junior Estimator assists in preparing cost estimates for manufacturing high quality production of millwork products by gathering data, analyzing production requirements, and supporting senior estimators. This role helps ensure accurate pricing, competitive bids, and efficient resource planning. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for products, components, or projects
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
• Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs
• Collect and maintain pricing data from suppliers and internal systems
• Support the preparation of quotes, bids, and proposals
• Work with engineering, procurement, and production teams to validate assumptions
• Update and maintain cost databases and estimation tools
• Help identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
• Ensure estimates align with company standards and profitability goals

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to cost estimation or quoting processes
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Experience with CAD drawings or technical documentation
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Minimum of 1 year of Jr Estimating Experience
• Experience working in Quick Books
• Experience with ERP Software is a plus Working Conditions
• Office-based with regular interaction with production and management teams
• Occasional visits to the manufacturing floor

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
