Job Description
Estimator We are seeking an experienced Estimator to support construction projects from estimating and preconstruction through project execution. This role will be responsible for developing accurate estimates, coordinating subcontractor bids, maintaining project documentation, and providing project engineering support as needed. Responsibilities Manage the bid process from initial scope review through final client proposal. Review drawings and specifications to develop detailed subcontractor scopes of work. Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor bids for scope, pricing, materials, and compliance with project requirements. Develop project budgets, proposals, and schedules in coordination with Project Managers. Perform site visits and job walks as required. Maintain project information, documentation, and schedules using Procore and Master Builder . Coordinate subcontract agreements, Notices to Proceed, drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Manage submittal schedules and follow up on pending and long-lead items. Review and coordinate RFIs, Change Events, Potential Change Orders, and Prime Contract Change Orders . Participate in Owner, Architect, Contractor (OAC) and design meetings. Provide project status updates and support Project Managers and Superintendents throughout project execution. Provide leadership and direction to Project Engineering Assistants and support the Project Engineering team as needed. Maintain organized records of subcontractors, bid packages, drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field with relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and construction experience. 5+ years of related construction experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree. Strong knowledge of construction trades and project documentation. Experience with construction estimating, project engineering, subcontractor coordination, and project administration. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, blueprints, and schedules. Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Project, and Excel . Working knowledge of Procore and Master Builder preferred. Healthcare facilities construction experience is preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to construction job sites as needed. This individual should be able to work effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, clients, and other project stakeholders while maintaining accurate documentation and keeping projects moving forward. Work Environment This position combines office-based work with regular visits to active construction sites. Job-site travel, occasional overtime, and work in varying indoor and outdoor construction conditions may be required.
