Coast has an opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our team of construction professionals based in Arlington, WA. This is a full-time position. Key responsibilities include Reads and interprets drawings, specifications and RFQ documents for prospective projects. Responds timely and thoroughly to bid requests, ensuring bid packages are complete and consistent. Develops labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates for prospective projects and develops estimates incorporating all costs for review by company leadership. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material prices, and industry trends. Track historical cost data to improve future estimates. Proficient in organizing and assembling estimates. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids. Defines work scope solicit and select subcontractors. Develop preliminary work schedules. Highly involved with project team's preconstruction and early construction handoffs. Maintains a high degree of integrity, loyalty and honesty by not divulging confidential information pertaining to Coast's operations or bids. Has developed important relationships with subcontractors that help in winning work. Proficient in presenting estimates to an owner. Seeking new work opportunities or improving existing systems or processes. Requirements Bachelor's degree in construction management/3 to 5 years of commercial construction. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Proven expertise with estimating/accounting software (e.g., Sage, Bluebeam, Building Connect or other project management software). Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
