Job Description

Commercial Operations Estimator At Golden West Packaging Group, our people are at the heart of everything we do. The Commercial Operations Estimator is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, pricing strategies, and commercial insights to support sales and operations to their assigned facility. This position requires a hands-on approach to quoting and cost estimating with a focus on customer obsession and on-time completion of projects. This position will work collaboratively with sales, customer service, and production to develop price quotations for a multitude of products GWPG sells to their customers.
Responsibilities:
Accurate and timely processing of layouts, routings and quotes to maintain best possible lead time and equitable return for the company. Create quotes in Encore while considering size, print specifications, number of printing colors required, etc. Determine quote level and priority to allocate appropriate time and resources. Determine costs of producing products and provide quote information for sales to present to the customer. Document on the quote of all exceptions & terms for the customer. Address all customer specifications in the quote. Process revisions on request for changes to an existing project previously quoted. Utilize quote metrics and contribute to the continuous improvement of the quoting process. Consult with necessary personnel to formulate estimates and resolve issues. Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with sales, customer service and all other interdepartmental team members. Work with procurement teams, pre-press, production and venders. Enter data and maintain organized filing system for all quotations. Build Specs in Spec maintenance.
California Pay Transparency Disclaimer:
This is an Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. It is typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
Qualifications:
Skills & Qualifications Encore, ASI Estimating, WebCenter, Artios Cad, Teams, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word. Basic knowledge of Single Face Litho, Folding Carton packaging and/or Corrugated, related machine capabilities, Design and Pre-Press.
Education & Work Experience:
High School Graduate, AA/BA degree desirable. Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience. Previous work in a facility that produces SFL, Folding Carton and/or Corrugated.

Works effectively with co-workers, sales, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner. Listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables, and issues, addressing problems and issues constructively to find acceptable and practical business solutions. Respect the diversity of our work force in actions, words, and deeds.
Physical Demands:
Position involves ability to operate office related equipment and computers. Candidate will sit majority of the time, and must be capable of walking to various plant locations and offices in other departments
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
