(GEI) is a full-service electrical contractor serving commercial, industrial, and agricultural clients across California. We specialize in high-quality design-build electrical work, UL508A panel fabrication, automation, and long-term service partnerships. Our reputation is built on craftsmanship, integrity, and delivering practical solutions in demanding environments like food processing, water/wastewater, and industrial facilities Job Summary Grossi Electric Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Electrical Estimator to support our pre-construction and estimating team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a construction, electrical, or engineering background who's ready to grow into a full estimator role. You'll assist in generating take-offs, organizing bids, communicating with vendors, and learning the ins and outs of cost estimating in a real-world, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing estimates for commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects Support quantity take-offs, scope reviews, and bid preparation Organize and track bid documents, drawings, and vendor quotes Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing Review blueprints and specifications to support estimating team Help maintain cost databases and vendor contact lists Assist with pre-bid walkthroughs, proposal formatting, and internal bid reviews Learn estimating software (e.g., Accubid Trimble) and company tools under mentorship Attend internal handoff meetings to gain project understanding Skills & Technical Competencies Basic understanding of electrical construction principles and terminology Ability to read blueprints, specs, and basic plan sets (with support) Familiarity with Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook Willingness to learn estimating software such as Accubid or Trimble Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management Good written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working independently and collaboratively Qualifications & Requirements 0-2 years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or related field Background in construction, electrical, engineering, or drafting preferred High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training is a plus Eagerness to learn and grow within the electrical estimating field Professional, punctual, and positive work attitude Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for potential site visits Preferred Qualifications Previous internship or office experience with a contractor or engineering firm Basic knowledge of NEC, labor costing, or vendor pricing Exposure to solar PV or battery storage systems a plus
Pay & Benefits Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience and aptitude)
