The approximate date of this internship is January 2027 to June 2027 and is located in Glendale, California. What You Will Do As an Estimating intern, you will be responsible for preparing estimates for facility, shows, and rides throughout our project lifecycles and will work under the immediate direction of a Project Senior or Principal Estimator! You will have the opportunity to: Review and incorporate historical cost data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into estimates Assist in preparing estimates by calculating complete takeoffs of a scope of work Maintain files for all working documents and data as back up to estimate figures Assist in evaluating all design documentation and provide trend estimates and analyses against current EFC/Budget estimate during design phase Required Qualifications & Skills Working knowledge of estimating methodologies and cost management principles Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in Excel for data analysis Ability to work successfully with all levels of management, all project team members (project management, contractors, sub-contractors etc.) to achieve team goals Ability to read, interpret and apply information from construction drawings Preferred Qualifications Relevant experience supporting project estimates, cost planning, and financial analysis Experience with dashboard modeling, reporting, and data visualization tools, including Power BI Proficiency with Power Query and data transformation techniques Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and/or Autodesk Forma for project collaboration, planning, and data-driven decision-making Education Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree majoring Construction Management/Engineering, Architecture or Engineering Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program Additional Information Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program Must be fully available for the duration of the internship The pay rate for this role in California is $31 per hour for undergraduate students, $36 per hour for graduate students.
