Job Description

The Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and project requirements. This role plays a critical part in supporting project bidding, budgeting, and overall financial planning to ensure competitive and profitable project outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesReview project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope, materials, labor, and timeline requirementsPrepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor bids, and overheadSolicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricingIdentify cost risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategiesCollaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and requirementsMaintain and update cost databases and historical pricing for accurate forecastingAssist in preparing bid proposals, presentations, and supporting documentationTrack and analyze costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with estimates
