Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Estimator with expertise in glass and aluminum systems to manage the estimation process for commercial glazing projects. The ideal candidate will handle bids from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and cost-efficiency. This role includes reviewing plans, preparing proposals, and working closely with contractors and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning:

Review ITBs, confirm bid status, and communicate any deadlines or issues.

Initiation:

Organize bid files, gather material pricing, and create accurate estimates.

Execution:

Prepare and submit proposals, clearly marking key details like product information and lead times.

Monitoring & Control:

Follow up with contractors, track feedback, and manage job kick-off meetings.

Job Closure:

Participate in project debriefs and handle Change Orders.

Qualifications:

Experience estimating and/or project management experience with glass and aluminum systems for commercial projects (storefronts, curtain walls, sliding glass doors). Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Proven track record of submitting accurate bids on time. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to adapt to new software and tools as needed. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset.
