In this energetic and detail-oriented position, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and efficient project execution. Your expertise will help drive project profitability, manage budgets effectively, and contribute to the seamless delivery of high-quality construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your construction estimating skills in a fast-paced environment where precision, negotiation, and strategic planning are key to success. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and drawings using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid software. Conduct detailed quantity take-offs to determine material, labor, equipment costs, and overall project budgets. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Analyze bids from subcontractors and vendors to ensure accuracy and competitiveness; recommend award decisions. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets; implement cost control measures as needed. Prepare detailed bid proposals and assist in contract negotiations to secure profitable projects. Maintain thorough documentation of estimates, contracts, change orders, and project correspondence for transparency and future reference. Support project management teams by providing accurate cost data for scheduling, procurement, and resource allocation. Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and construction techniques that can improve estimating accuracy. Skills Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu for digital plan review and markup processes. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors. Experience with HeavyBid or similar construction estimating software for bid preparation. Deep understanding of construction estimating principles across various project types. Knowledge of construction site operations and management practices to inform accurate cost assessments. Ability to control costs through effective budgeting, pricing strategies, and value engineering. Familiarity with contract types, terms, and legal considerations within the construction industry. Excellent project management skills to coordinate multiple bids and deadlines efficiently. Strong communication skills for clear presentation of estimates and collaboration with diverse teams.
