Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team, bringing expertise in project cost analysis and bid preparation. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, reviewing blueprints and technical drawings, and developing comprehensive estimates for commercial construction projects. Your proactive approach will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and successful project delivery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Review construction blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to interpret project scope and requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services. Analyze material requirements from blueprints and develop accurate quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam and other construction management software. Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, controlling expenses, and updating estimates as project details evolve. Assist in developing bid proposals by compiling all estimate components into clear, professional documents. Review construction contracts and manage project documentation to ensure alignment with scope, budget, and schedule. Utilize spreadsheets extensively for data analysis, cost tracking, and reporting purposes. Support project management teams with cost control strategies throughout the construction process. Skills Strong knowledge of Bluebeam for blueprint reading and material estimation from technical drawings. Excellent negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing with vendors and subcontractors. Experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the residential construction industry. Ability to interpret complex construction drawings accurately and review blueprints thoroughly. Skilled in managing spreadsheets for detailed cost analysis and budget tracking. Knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management principles. Strong communication skills for office interactions and team collaboration. Expertise in estimating material requirements from blueprints to ensure precise procurement planning. Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
